Ask Sam: Phoneless Boy

Dear Sam,

I don’t have a phone, and I’m like the only person in the school who doesn’t own one. It’s really embarrassing when my friends ask for my phone number, and I give them my mom’s. I don’t know if I should tell my friends I don’t have one and face the social suicide, or lie to them. PLEASE help this phoneless being!

Sincerely,

Phoneless Boy

Dear Phoneless Boy,

I understand that at this time, especially for a person your age,  having a phone may seem like the most important thing, but you may be overreacting. You should be honest and tell your friends that you don’t have a phone. I’m pretty sure they will understand. If they don’t, and perhaps they tease you or don’t accept you, then maybe they weren’t meant to be your friends.

From,

Sam

Donald Trump has proposed an idea for Americans who burn the American flags. He suggested people who burn the flag should have possible jail time or loss of citizenship.

He tweeted on Tuesday, Nov. 29, “Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag — if they do, there must be consequences — perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!”   Continue reading “Burning the Flag”
