Anime Club-Drawing Competition!

Anime club has been progressing well with its 50+ members. The club currently has a drawing competition that will win participants well-loved prizes.

Only Anime Club members are allowed to participate, so they ask no one out of the anime club to join. The prize for participation is food from Japanese stores. If you win the competition, you can get an Attack on Titan poster, and become Mrs. Valverde’s secretary.

Rube Goldberg, a zany inventor and Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist that the STEM class is currently studying. Zany means amusingly unconventional and idiosyncratic, so the students will be making that kind of invention.

This is one of the most-liked dances of the year, so be sure not to miss out!

Dear Phoneless Boy,

I understand that at this time, especially for a person your age,  having a phone may seem like the most important thing, but you may be overreacting. You should be honest and tell your friends that you don’t have a phone. I’m pretty sure they will understand. If they don’t, and perhaps they tease you or don’t accept you, then maybe they weren’t meant to be your friends.

Burning the Flag

Donald Trump has proposed an idea for Americans who burn the American flags. He suggested people who burn the flag should have possible jail time or loss of citizenship.

He tweeted on Tuesday, Nov. 29, “Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag — if they do, there must be consequences — perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!”  

End of the Trimester Math Project

Mrs. Doyle’s 7A Math classes completed an end of the first-trimester math project. 

Students were put into groups of four, and each student was assigned one out of the four chapters studied throughout the trimester as a review.

Volleyball practice for girls will be after school on Tuesdays and Fridays until 4:00 pm at the nets.  

As for boy’s volleyball, practice will be on Mondays and Thursdays after school until 4:00pm. Girl’s and boy’s volleyball games will start soon in January. (Schedules may change.)

For the girl’s football team, practice will be soon. Please go to the Stacey Website and check the announcements daily to be updated.  

Farm on Mar’s Market (or just Farmer’s Market for the rest of us)

Garden Club hosted Farmer’s Market on December 2, 2016, near the front office which brought much attention to parents, students, and teachers. Many members participated in raising money for a new garden. In total, 27 club members gathered to sell as well as Ms. Thach and Mrs. Janssen.
