On Tuesday, April 19th College Career Readiness went to UCLA. Seventh and eighth graders went to the campus and had the privilege to explore.The purpose of these school-outings is for more “hands-on” experience. Handing Humanity Hope

Monday, April 18th through Monday, May 2nd CCR and Leadership classes at Stacey launched the Handing Humanity Hope campaign for refugees impacted by war and violence. Looking for a Valentine’s Day gift for that special someone? Want to show your appreciation for a friend? Look no further, for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift can be found right here, at Stacey Middle School.

Valentine’s Day Grams are being sold by College Career Readiness (CCR) and Mr. Ghaul’s class from February 1 to February 11 in front of the teacher’s lounge at 7:30- 8:05 AM.

Valentine Grams will include a carnation and can be bought for $2.

One Melted Night

On December 16th, One Snowy Night was hosted by the College Career Readiness program. Throughout the dance, there were various activities available for students who bought tickets (aside from the ticket to enter).

At the dance, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., Santa Claus took pictures with students in the school library. In front of the library was a food stand which contained chips, candy, pizza, hot chocolate, and soda.

One section of the multipurpose room was reserved for an activity where students were able to get whipped cream sprayed into their face. In order to do the activity, students payed one ticket. Continue reading “One Melted Night”

Second Harvest Food Drive

Dreaming to be a Leader

Leadership and 8th grade CCR, College and Career Readiness, went to Disneyland in October to learn the characteristics of being a strong leader: confidence, curiosity, constancy, and courage.

Once they arrived at Disneyland, Leadership and CCR split up in groups for the training. Each  group had a leader from the Disneyland staff. The groups walked around the park and did activities that taught teamwork and leadership skills. During the training, the students also got to ride Splash Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean.
